What is raw mode?

Raw mode shows your task list as plain text that you can edit freely, one task per line. Open it with the Raw button at the bottom of the main window, or press ⌘⇧R (Ctrl+Shift+R on Linux). Press it again to go back.

  • A task: any line that doesn’t start with # or >. Put the time estimate in parentheses at the end.
  • A note: a line that starts with > belongs to the task above it. See Notes.
  • A comment: a line that starts with # is ignored. Use it to label parts of your list for yourself.
  • Tags: words that start with + are projects and words that start with @ are contexts, for example +acme @calls.

Synced tasks from Todoist, ClickUp, Nifty or YouTrack aren’t shown in raw mode, so you can’t change them by accident.

One second after you stop typing, or right away with ⌘S. Leaving raw mode also keeps what you typed.

If you edit a task’s text slightly, Unospace keeps the time already tracked on it.
