How do I add a time estimate?
Put the time in parentheses at the end of the task: Review proposal (45). A plain number means minutes. You can also write hours, like (2h) or (1h 30m). Tasks with an estimate make up your Today list.

In raw mode, separate hours and minutes with a space and give each a unit. (1h30m) and (1.5h) aren’t read as estimates there. The estimate boxes in the panel and the main window are more forgiving and also accept 45m, 1h30m and 1.5h.
What happens to a task without an estimate?
Section titled “What happens to a task without an estimate?”It stays in your list under Not planned, off Today. When you pick it in the panel, Unospace asks for an estimate before starting it. In the example above, Reply to Sam waits until you give it one.
Can I change an estimate after I start?
Section titled “Can I change an estimate after I start?”Yes. Press ⌘E in the panel to re-estimate the current task, or ⌘= to add time. If you change an estimate before you start working, Unospace treats it as a new plan. After you’ve started, day balance still measures against the estimate you first planned with, so you can see when a task ran over.
Clearing an estimate moves the task back to Not planned.
Synced tasks
Section titled “Synced tasks”Tasks from Todoist, ClickUp and YouTrack bring their estimates with them. An estimate you set in Unospace is never overwritten when the task syncs again. Nifty has no time estimates, so Nifty tasks arrive without one. See Sync.
