How does sync with Todoist, ClickUp, Nifty and YouTrack work?

With Pro, Unospace brings in tasks from Todoist, ClickUp, Nifty and YouTrack and lists them next to the tasks you write yourself. It checks for changes every minute. When you complete a synced task, Unospace marks it done in that service too.

Open Preferences → Connections and choose Add Connection. Pick the service, paste your token, choose Test & Save, then pick the projects or lists to sync.

Service What you need
Todoist A personal API token from Todoist’s Settings → Integrations → Developer
ClickUp A personal API token (starts with pk_), or sign in through a window
Nifty An API token and your workspace URL (Nifty Business plan or above)
YouTrack A permanent token and your YouTrack URL

Tokens are kept in the macOS Keychain (on Linux, the system keyring) and only sent to the service they belong to.

Service Tasks Estimate
Todoist All tasks in the projects or sections you choose Todoist’s task duration
ClickUp Open tasks in the lists you choose ClickUp’s time estimate
Nifty Tasks assigned to you None, since Nifty uses story points
YouTrack Your unresolved issues in the projects you choose The Estimation field

Tasks that arrive with an estimate go to Today. The rest wait under Not planned. An estimate you set in Unospace is never overwritten by a later sync.

  • Completing a task marks it done there. For Nifty you choose a column to move it to, or keep it open in Nifty.
  • Time spent is logged on the task in YouTrack and ClickUp.

Unospace shows the conflict and lets you choose Keep Mine, Keep Theirs or Keep Both.

Press ⌘⇧S in the panel, choose Sync Now in the menu bar icon’s menu, or use Sync Now on the connection in Preferences.

Choose Disconnect on the connection in Preferences. This removes its stored token.
